[:pb]As pesquisas realizadas no Centro de Terapia Celular (CTC) tem como principal objetivo trazer benefícios a saúde da população. A instituição completou 17 anos produzindo estudos e medicamentos mais eficientes usando tecnologia brasileira.
O CTC é formado por pesquisadores da USP e do Hemocentro que estão interessados na compreensão da biologia das células-tronco, bem como no desenvolvimento de novas técnicas para o tratamento de doenças.
Nossos pesquisadores foram responsáveis pela geração da primeira linhagem de células-tronco embrionárias no Brasil e produziram um dos primeiros clones bovinos e ovinos no país. A equipe também alcançou avanços no tratamento da hemofilia, com a produção inédita dos fatores responsáveis pela coagulação do sangue FVII, FVIII e FIX utilizando células humanas. O que resultou no registro de patentes e alternativas mais seguras e acessíveis aos pacientes.
Entre pesquisadores principais, bolsistas, mestrandos, doutorandos e pós-doutorandos, a instituição soma mais de 170 homens e mulheres que buscam compreender o funcionamento do corpo humano. Médicos, biólogos, profissionais biomédicos, farmacêuticos, veterinários e químicos trabalham com excelência para oferecer os melhores resultados para a sociedade.
O Centro de Terapia Celular e o Instituto Nacional de Ciência e Tecnologia em Células-Tronco e Terapia Celular no Câncer (INCTC) desenvolvem trabalhos nas áreas de Biologia Molecular e Celular, Hematologia e Química de Proteínas.

The CTC is made up of researchers from USP and the Blood Center who are interested in understanding the biology of stem cells and the development of new techniques for the treatment of diseases.
Our researchers were responsible for the generation of the first line of embryonic stem cells in Brazil and produced one of the first clones cattle and sheep in the country. The staff also achieved advances in the treatment of hemophilia with the unprecedented production of the factors responsible for blood coagulation FVII, FVIII and FIX using human cells. What resulted in the registration of patents and safer alternatives and affordable to patients.
Among leading researchers, scholars, masters, doctoral and post-doctoral students, the institution has more than 170 men and women who seek to understand the functioning of the human body. The Center for Cell-based Therapy and the National Institute of Science and Technology in Stem Cell and Cell-based Therapy in Cancer (INCTC) develop work in the areas of Molecular and Cellular Biology, Hematology and Protein Chemistry.
